A great torchlight procession on the Alps of Valle d’Aosta. Solidarity & fun
I Light Pila, the most popular torchlight procession in Valle D’Aosta, is back on the ski slopes for the fifth consecutive year on February 11, 2017!
I Light Pila is the torchlight procession to which everyone can take part in, skiing, snowboarding, with ski rackets, snowshoes or even walking! It was held in Pila on the Alps (1800 m = 6000 ft) in Valle D’Aosta for the past 5 years with a charitable purpose: all earnings from the registration fees with be given to the “Susan G. Komen Italia” Association in order to support the commitment of the Association in fighting breast cancer throughout the whole national territory.
I Light Pila is a great chance to enjoy some snow and express solidarity at the same time. It will be an exciting moment to live together, each of us with his own pink LED flashlight-torch, symbol of the event. You can sign up online on www.pila.it or www.komenitalia.it/pila, or at the ticket offices of Aosta-Pila cable car and in the public premises of the ski resort, and in the ski-village of the manifestation.
