Everything is ready for “I Light Pila“, the fundraising torchlight hike that on Saturday, February 7th, will warm the heart of Aosta Valley Pila district for the third consecutive year: skiing “en rose” for a day, that is good and does good.

The event is organized in favor of the association Susan G. Komen Italia, to raise funds and make aware of the fight against breast cancer, supported by the Association. This year to receive the proceeds of the enrollments and donations at the end of the event, will be Rosanna Banfi, testimonial of Komen Italy.

Skiing, snowboarding, walking or snowshoeing, everyone is invited. Pink flashlight led light in hand, adults and children will walk downhill on the snow, to contribute to the fight against breast cancer supported by Komen Italia.

The event, organized for the first time in winter 2013, can count on the renewed commitment of all actors of the resort and the media partnership with Cosmopolitan magazine, to make Pila the protagonist of winter sports, entertainment and solidarity. In the previous editions, 36 thousand € have been raised and more than 2.700 people took part in the events, confirming “I Light Pila” the largest torchlight hike of the whole Aosta Valley, open to all.

How to.

The entire proceeds of the registrations, from 12€, will be donated from Pila in support of Komen Italia that gives aid to projects throughout the country.

This year, from 3.30 pm meeting at Skyvillage for who wants to take part in the hike or to make a donation. Even for those who have spent waiting for the torchlight skiing, once you reach the chalets, you will be involved in the joyful atmosphere of music and hot drinks offered to all participants.

You will be coordinated and guided by the ski resort’s staff from the highest point, Chamolé 2500 m, to go down creating a stream of “torches”, making a pink river effect. You can choose between 10 paths: the challenging Chamolé, the longer and smoother Baouston, the child friendly Hermitage… for all tastes!

At the arrival you will join the traditional celebration of the event made of music and toasts.
