Mantua: San Martino dall’Argine
Follow Gonzaga Family’s steps and memories nearby Mantua
San Martino dall’Argine is a town nearby Mantua, where the Gonzaga Family spent some time. They built a castle and a whole square surrounded by porches.
Visit the socalled Church Castle, a Renaissance church whose inside has been conceived by Gonzaga, again. You know, Gonzaga’s men were either cardinals or womanizers: the womanizers were used to build villas for their girlfriends, while the cardinals built churches!
Then the slow tour continues to the town of Bozzolo, through the Oglio river greenway.
