Sicily by boat: Pantelleria island
The most south-eastern island in Italy
Pantelleria is the most south-eastern island in Italy and it belongs to region Sicily.
Sailing round Pantelleria, it becomes apparent there is nowhere to come ashore. The coastline is so high and so jagged that the only possible place is the main port!
From here we can set off on an inland tour of Pantelleria. Let’s find the Lake of Venus with its sulphur water and its healty mud.
Then let’s move on to Scauri Scalo where there are pools that have been dug out of the rocks where in some points the warm water meets the cold water of the sea. Pantelleria is an island of treatments!
