What to do in August at Marmore Falls?

During the month of August in Marmore Falls area there are many interesting guided tours and possibilities to have fun and get in touch with nature. Let’s give a glance at the event calendar

Guided tour in cave – 1 hour tour

The visit takes place in the “Conduct cave” (track 5, higher Belvedere), so called because it passes within an ancient channel that fueled a 18th century hydroelectric system. You will be given the necessary equipment, light fronts and helmets. You just have to wear appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes.

It takes place the 14, 17, 23rd, 24, 30, 31st of August, starting at 11:30 am and 15:30 pm.

Guided tour by night

You will visit the Belvedere Park by night, lightened only by waterfall light and by your helmets little lights. An expert guide will lead you along the paths number 2 and 3, between the gorges and the river rapids, until the big jump, where the water fall becomes louder.

It takes place every night of August at 20:45 pm

Children fairy walks

Children between 3 and 8 years will follow the elf of the waterfall Gnefro’s footsteps in a trail on the Belvedere Park. They will be told the story of the shepherd Velino in love with the nymph Nera, who created Marmore Falls.

It takes place the 2nd, 3rd, 9,10, 11, 12, 13, 19, 20, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 29, 30, 31 of August, at 12 and 16:30 pm.

Naturalistic visit guide

You will discover the peculiar botanic species of this area. The botanical guides will lead visitors on the Park trails number 2 and 3 (lower Belvedere), telling interesting things about local plants, biodiversity and habitat adaptation.

It takes place everyday at 14:30 pm, except the 11st, 14, 15, 16, 17 of August.

Short guided tour: The Marmore Falls in just 100 steps.

This short visit suits you if you don’t have too much time to spend visiting widly the Marmore Falls. You will be told everything about it in just 30 minutes!

It takes place everyday at 11:30, 12:30 and 15:30, except the 15, 16, 17 of August
