An interview by Syusy Blady about her trip to Romania

A new issue of Gate Magazine, the free press and bilingual magazine of Rome’s airports, has been released. The cover inaugurates the “artist covers” initiative, which encourages young illustrators to get recognized by giving visibility to their work. In our Italia Slow Tour column, the interview with Syusy Blady, who discusses her trip to Romania in the footsteps of Vlad Tepes, the historical individual who served as the inspiration for Dracula, is quite interesting.

In this issue, the travel section offers a journey between history and modernity in Poland, covering Gdansk, Krakow, Warsaw, and other cities. There are articles on Conero, the pearl of the Adriatic for those who love the sea and breathtaking landscapes, and on Istria, the little Italy. For those undecided between sea and mountains, various inspirational itineraries are suggested.

The fashion section tells the story of Maria Cavedon and her innovative approach to design, the brand Rifò which combines sustainability and style starting from reused materials, and includes an interview with Matteo Ward, founder of WRÅD, who talks about the sustainable future of fashion. Additionally, the streetwear brand of Marcelo Burlon is featured.

The focus on Rome covers, in addition to events, the Fiumicino airport, which is increasingly family-oriented, the best gelato shops in the city, and the beauties of Villa Borghese. In the beauty and wellness section, there is a selection of useful products for travel and mindfulness tips.

Gate Magazine is available for free at Rome’s airports and in digital format at this link. Enjoy your reading and have a good trip!
