The one of Troubadours of Provençe
The Oramala Castle is located between the Staffora Valley and the Nizza Valley, in the Oltrepò Pavese area, on a hill 750 metres high.
The Castle was named Oramala by the Holy Roman Emperor Frederick I, and it was built during the Middle Age by Malaspina Family. It is a famous castle, mentioned by Dante and attended by Occitan troubadours. It was renovated after the Second World War by the partisan Gigi Panigazzi.
Nowadays the castle is opened to visitors for very special events, every Sunday afternoon, from the end of April through to the end of October.
