Tour of Palladio’s Sites of Veneto
Villa Angarano Bianchi Michiel, the Olympic Theater of Vicenza and Bassano Bridge
Explore the Palladian sites of Veneto with Patrizio Roversi and Sheean, an artist tourist from the Bahamas in love with Italy and the Renaissance.
The first stop is Villa Angarano Bianchi Michiel, an iconic Palladian villa harmoniously set in the landscape between the Brenta River and Mount Grappa. Next, we travel to the highly symbolic location of the Bassano Bridge, which was completed in 1209 and rebuilt by Palladio in 1567.
Lastly, visit Vicenza to view Palladio’s final creation, the Olympic Theatre. An exquisite work of art, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this indoor recreation of a traditional Roman theatre features Scamozzi’s scenic design.
